What To Expect Pregnancy Week 35

It is said that by the time the expectant mother reaches the 35th week of pregnancy she might have more mood swings that the usual. By this time if you are a first time mother you may be getting worried about your delivery and how you would able to handle the labor pains and the very act of delivering the baby. Another common issue is that you tend to worry about every small kind of unnecessary things which might be of no concern to you. Whereas this should be one of those times when you are meant to think happy thoughts and rest and relax so that your baby can grow up healthy inside your womb. You might start feeling those little feet pushing against your ribs and now that your baby has turned you may even feel his head pressed against your cervix and feel slight kicks and pokes in your ribs. You might also feel that you are waddling around instead of walking but then that is because you happen to be carrying the weight of two people.  It is best to relax a great deal during this time because relaxing will relieve your joints and help your pelvis to widen to ease your delivery. One way of handling this could be by going for of one of the prenatal soft massages. Such a massage may prove to be helpful to relieve pain, and reduce the swelling and discomfort and let go of the tiredness and stress that accompanies the last few weeks of pregnancy. Another alternative is that you could take up prenatal yoga which will not only help you to stay calm, relaxed and less stressed but also help to strengthen your spine and muscles and loosen up your joints and the pelvic area.

By week 35 of pregnancy, your baby is trying his best to increase his weight and put on some fat on his body so that it will help him keep warm after he is born. By this time his suckle reflexes would have developed so that even if he is premature he will not have problem with breastfeeding. This is a time when your baby will be the most active; already his head may be positioned downward as he too prepares to be born. The intensity of his kicking may reduce at this point and he would be moving and twisting around in your womb and you would be able to feel it well.
